Join Us in Celebrating National Surgical Technologists Week
Published: Sept. 19, 2021National Surgical Technologists Week is Sept. 19-25, and we're proud to celebrate all the surgical technologists who make an impact across Methodist Health System.
According to the Association of Surgical Technologists, surgical technologists became necessary during World War II. Since then, their role has evolved into a separate allied health field. Surgical technologists are an important part of a patient's surgical team, working under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures.
Today, surgical technologists are working in one of the fastest growing professions in the country. And at Methodist, they're an integral part of showing The Meaning of Care to patients.
To our surgical technologists, thank you for all you do!
