Jeff Demetri - Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter
Published: July 6, 2016Jeff Demetri, a Lead Security Officer, is the Methodist Women’s Hospital Employee of the Quarter for 3rd Quarter 2016. He was honored at a recognition ceremony on June 10.
Jeff was nominated for the honor by a member of the leadership team, who praised Jeff's "superior security talents and attention to detail," describing Jeff as someone who possesses "an amazing ability to forecast employee and management needs to integrate into the patient care process."
Jeff has been instrumental in providing valuable input to multiple projects, including the E.D. lockdown and NICU expansion. His desire to learn led to his selection as a card access superuser, responsible for all access issues affecting Methodist Women's Hospital.
Jeff, who is pursuing professional education through the International Association of Healthcare Securty and Safety Basic certification course, is considered a role model for his peers.
The Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter award program began in the first quarter of 2013. Award nominations may be submitted by physicians, supervisors, coworkers and staff. Judging is based on how candidates embody the mission and core values of Methodist Women’s Hospital: patient focus, integrity, excellence, learning, compassion, teamwork and respect.
All employees and staff at MWH are eligible to receive the Employee of the Quarter award. Employee of the Quarter award winners are automatically considered for the Caring Kind Employee of the Year award, as are Methodist Hospital's Employees of the Month.
To nominate a fellow employee for the Employee of the Quarter award, submit a completed application form to Administration. Each nomination is kept on file for review for two quarters.
