Sandi Brennan & Gillian Sorensen Named Methodist's 2016 Caring Kind Employees of the Year

Sandi Brennan, a Clinic/Hospital Evaluation and Management Coder in the Clinical Coding department, is Methodist Hospital's 2016 Caring Kind Employee of the Year. Gillian Sorensen, administrative coordinator in Administration, is Methodist Women's Hospital's 2016 Caring Kind Employee of the Year.

Methodist Hospital's Caring Kind Employee: Sandi Brennan

Sandi Brennan was recognized for her selection as a 2016 Caring Kind employee at a celebration at Methodist Hospital on August 30.

Sandi's coworkers describe her as as “always cheerful, kind, helpful and positive.” A hardworking employee who is good at her job, Sandi anticipates needs and obtains responses to questions quickly and efficiently.

Sandi, a Methodist Hospital employee for almost 16 years, was named Methodist Hospital Employee of the Month for November 2015.

Methodist Women's Hospital's Caring Kind Employee: Gillian Sorensen

Gillian Sorensen was recognized for her selection as a 2016 Caring Kind employee at a celebration at Methodist Women's Hospital on September 28.

Gillian's coworkers describe her as "an amazing resource, a pleasure to work with" and someone who "is never afraid to dig in and help when needed." She is known for her friendly personality, strong work ethic, nursing knowledge, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Gillian, a Methodist Women's Hospital employee for over a year, was named Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter for 1st Quarter 2016.

Nebraska's Caring Kind Award Program

Hospitals across the state select a Caring Kind Award winner from within their respective institutions to be honored at the Nebraska Hospital Association's annual conference. The 2016 Caring Kind luncheon, held on October 14, honors those award winners as Nebraska hospitals' most caring individuals.

Methodist Hospital's Caring Kind Employee of the Year is chosen by the committee members who select Methodist Hospital's Employees of the Month. The Caring Kind employee is selected from a pool of the past year's Employee of the Month winners.

Methodist Women's Hospital's Caring Kind Employee of the Year is chosen by the committee members who select Methodist Women's Hospital's Employees of the Quarter. The Caring Kind employee is selected from a pool of the past year's Employee of the Quarter winners.
