Dr. Greg Hutteger Named to Becker's Hospital Review List of 50 Hospital & Health System CMIOs to Know
Published: Oct. 24, 2017Becker's Hospital Review has published the 2017 edition of its list of "50 Hospital and Health System CMIOs to Know," and Greg Hutteger, DO, chief medical information officer (CMIO) for Methodist Health System, was among those recognized.
The others honored included CMIOs from The Cleveland Clinic, Duke University Health System, Emory Healthcare, Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Mount Sinai Health System, Rush University Medical Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Sutter Health, University of Chicago Medicine, and Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health System, to name a few. Dr. Hutteger is the only Nebraskan to make the list.
Dr. Hutteger joined Methodist Health System as a family medicine physician for Methodist Physicians Clinic in September 2006. In July 2015, he was appointed to the role of chief medical information officer for the health system. As chief medical information officer, Dr. Hutteger works with informatics, analysts, staff and physicians to implement and improve the electronic health record throughout Methodist Health System. Prior to his appointment at CMIO, he served for five years as medical director of informatics.
Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Hutteger continues to care for patients at the Methodist Physicians Clinic Regency clinic location as well as Methodist Hospital.
