#WhatsYourWhy? Methodist Begins Giving COVID-19 Vaccine to Frontline Workers

Methodist Health System has a new tool in the fight against COVID-19.

On Tuesday, Dec. 15, Methodist received its first shipment of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. And on Wednesday, Dec. 16, the first round of vaccinations for Methodist frontline workers began. Jessica Jones, MD, a Methodist Physicians Clinic infectious disease specialist, was first to receive the vaccine.

“It’s for Omaha. It’s for our country," she said. "I’m ready to get back to life as it was. We’re fatigued here in the hospital, and we just want this to be over. So, my why is to end the pandemic and give it our best shot.”
