The Shine Award for Nursing Assistants honors these staff members for the special role they play in patient care at Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women's Hospital. Their Supporting Hands assist our nurses In achieving Nursing Excellence and quality patient outcomes.

Maira Ritthaler
Maira Ritthaler, a nursing assistant on the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Methodist Fremont Health, has been honored with the Shine Award.
Maira was recognized by her patients and peers for always having a positive attitude and always being a very helpful person on the behavioral health unit. She was also a finalist for the 2021 Caring Kind award.
