SHINE Award Winner
Emily Beatty
Emily Beatty, CNA, a nursing assistant at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, has been honored with the Shine Award.
She was nominated by Mary Colburn, service leader for the hospital's Ortho/Neuro Unit. Colburn wrote:
“Emily was floated to our unit on Sept. 2. The unit had 16 patients, and Emily was the only nursing assistant on the floor. I actually worked side by side with Emily. She was focused, caring and amazing. Her only focus was the patients on the unit and that they were all getting their care and what they needed. She was so positive and knows how to move and multitask. She was kind and caring. Wonderful employee, engaged and caring. It was a pleasure to work alongside of her, and she models the standards of compassionate service that we all strive for. Job well done!”
Congratulations, Emily, on receiving the SHINE Award. We thank you for all your hard work to show patients and their families The Meaning of Care.
