Respiratory Care Academy Provides Tuition Coverage for Methodist Employees

Are you interested in becoming a respiratory therapist? Do you want to get your tuition paid?

Methodist Health System Academy programs provide tuition coverage for Methodist employees enrolled in several Nebraska Methodist College (NMC) programs – now including Associate of Science in Respiratory Care.

The Respiratory Care Academy is open to all full-time Methodist employees at all locations. Eligible employees must have been employed for one full year (working at least 24 hours per week) within the three years prior to academy application.

The academy covers the cost of tuition and does not include funding for textbooks or other fees. In exchange for sponsorship, Respiratory Care Academy students are required to work at a Methodist facility for at least 16 hours a week throughout their enrollment in the academy and continue their employment after graduation, working as a full-time (24 hours per week) respiratory care practitioner for five years.

Selection for the academy is based upon acceptance to NMC, completion of the approved academy selection form and availability of academy funds. Spaces are limited, and candidates will be evaluated based on qualifications and organizational needs.
