Virginia Porter Is Methodist Hospital's Employee of the Month for June 2023

Virginia Porter is a medical social worker in the Care Management Department. She embodies our core values of integrity, excellence, learning, compassion, teamwork and respect in everything she does. Virginia has been a Methodist employee for a little over four years.

From her nomination: “Virginia goes above and beyond for each individual patient. She focuses on their needs and sees them as an individual versus a number. She takes on challenging cases that require a lot of work without hesitation. She takes time with each of her patients. Virginia is a resource to her peers. She is proactive and ensures that patients have the resources needed to be successful in the community. She has worked on different units and is known to be a resource to everyone she encounters. She is looked to as a leader, not only from other social workers, but nurses as well.”
