Laurene Yuskevich Is Methodist Women's Hospital's Employee of the Quarter

OB/GYN unit nurse Laurene Yuskevich, RN, is the Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2023.

The Nebraska Methodist College graduate was nominated by several colleagues. Among their comments:

"Laurene is someone I think of when I hear The Meaning of Care. Laurene spends so much time at the bedside. She takes the time to talk to patients and really learn their story."

"She is always there for her patients whether it be emotionally, physically or simply just to get to know them. I feel as if she has been my mentor since being here, and I know I can come to her with any question. ... Laurene is the definition of what a Methodist nurse is. ... I look up to her and am so happy I get the opportunity to work with her."

"Laurene is a very compassionate nurse who enjoys caring for her patients. She is very personable and meets their needs. She has been open to filling in as charge nurse when needed. Laurene shows compassion and respect to all individuals she interacts with."

The Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter award program began in the first quarter of 2013. Award nominations may be submitted by physicians, supervisors, coworkers and staff. Judging is based on how candidates embody the mission and core values of Methodist Women’s Hospital: patient focus, integrity, excellence, learning, compassion, teamwork and respect.

Employee of the Quarter award winners are automatically considered for the Caring Kind Employee of the Year award, as are Methodist Hospital's Employees of the Month.

To nominate a fellow employee for the Employee of the Quarter award, submit a completed application form to Administration. Each nomination is kept on file for review for four quarters. The "Employee of the Quarter - MWH" application form can be accessed here.
