Heather Binns Is Methodist Hospital's Employee of the Month for December 2023

Heather Binns is a medical social worker in the Care Management Department. She embodies our core values of integrity, excellence, learning, compassion, teamwork and respect in everything she does. Heather has been a Methodist employee for nearly 21 years.

From her nomination: “Heather is the perfect example of the Methodist mission and core values. She always goes above and beyond for her patients and always puts them first. Heather provides patients and families with resources to ensure they are getting the best care and patient outcomes. If the first resource doesn’t work, she will find another one. She assisted with coordinating a zoo visit for a long-term patient who has never been to the zoo and was being discharged to a long-term facility the following month. Heather truly cares for others and has so much passion for her work. She is very professional, has a calm demeanor and keeps patients’ needs confidential when appropriate. She has respect for all staff and patients. We are lucky to have her as part of the team.”
