Congratulations to Kim Baker, BSN, RN, service leader for Cardiovascular Services at Methodist Hospital, for being honored with The DAISY Nurse Leader Award. The Nebraska Methodist College alumna was nominated by sonographer Heidi Vacha, who wrote:
“Even though Kim is constantly on the move, she is still easily accessible and always offering help whenever she can. She is always pleasant and helps critically think to solve any issue that may arise. She motivates everyone under her umbrella to be the best they can be by showing that she is also willing to do what needs to be done. She actively communicates with each department to ensure everything will run smoothly throughout the day. ... She has created an environment of compassion, trust and professionalism through her hard work and dedication to this hospital. … Kim embodies the true mission, vision and values that Methodist upholds.”
