Methodist transitioning to new policy management system

As Methodist Health System grows, it continues to embrace new technology and tools. Among them is a new policy management system – PowerPolicy from vendor PowerDMS.  

PowerPolicy is a secure cloud-based repository that manages all policies and procedures across their lifecycle.  This system will allow Methodist to develop, review, approve, distribute and track every policy with confidence, knowing that only one published version exists. 

The Methodist Compliance Department is currently implementing this system with help from Information Technology. The target date for completing implementation is mid-year.

The project aims to ease policy management for the end user, but there is some work along the way. One of the first steps in implementation is loading all policies into PowerPolicy. While our full catalog of policies is available in Central Point, they are stored there in PDF format. To provide the best user experience with PowerDMS, we need to load the original Word versions (.doc or .docx) of the policies. Several of you might have received communication requests to assist with this first step, and we appreciate your support.
