Congratulations to Lexi Breitkreutz, a nurse coordinator in the Medical-Surgical Unit and Critical Care Unit at Methodist Fremont Health, for being honored with The DAISY Award! She was nominated by a colleague after taking a student under her wing during a difficult medical situation and providing a great learning experience.

The student later told Lexi's nominator: "Lexi was with me the entire time and made sure I was OK. She cared for the patient with so much passion and knowledge but was also so kind and caring. She never looked scared or frantic, but also never showed the patient that things were not looking good. Lexi made sure that I was OK, talking with me after, and I hope I can be like her someday."
