Reminder: Employees’ access to their own Cerner records ends Oct. 1
Published: Sept. 25, 2024The Methodist Health System Compliance Department announced earlier this year that employees will no longer have access to their own or their family member’s health information via Cerner starting Oct. 1.
This change will help protect patient privacy and critical health information.
A new and easier process for accessing family members’ health information is available through Methodist's secure online patient portal. The patient portal is available online here or through the new Methodist My Care® app. The proxy access request is available online here.
Compliance would like to thank the many employees who have already taken steps to more appropriately access health information via the patient portal and Methodist My Care® app.
