Methodist Names 2018 Caring Kind Employees of the Year

Michelle Peterson, a medical social worker in the Care Management department, has been chosen as the 2018 Methodist Hospital Caring Kind Employee of the Year. Cynthe Ford, a nurse coordinator in Methodist Women's Hospital Surgery, has been chosen as the 2018 Methodist Women's Hospital Caring Kind Employee of the Year.

Methodist Hospital's Caring Kind Employee: Michelle Peterson

Michelle was recognized at a celebration on Aug. 30. She and others will be honored at the Nebraska Hospital Association Caring Kind luncheon at the Embassy Suites La Vista on Oct. 26.

Michelle has been a Methodist Hospital employee for more than three years and embodies our core values of integrity, excellence, learning, compassion, teamwork and respect in everything she does. She was named Methodist Hospital’s Employee of the Month in April 2018.

Michelle’s coworkers describe her as “an amazing social worker and person with a heart of gold”. She is known to go above and beyond with anything she does.  She treats each patient and family member with compassion and understanding.

Methodist Women's Hospital's Caring Kind Employee: Cynthe Ford

Cynthe Ford was recognized for her selection as a 2018 Caring Kind employee at a celebration at Methodist Women's Hospital on Sept. 18.

Described as someone with a smile for everyone who crosses her path, Cynthe is considered "a great communicator and a perfect example of advocacy for our patients. She is always focused on patient care and safety, and she strives to be sure our patients and employees are taken care of in all aspects."

Considered "a great resource for techs and nurses alike," Cynthe is always willing to help, answer questions and put others before herself. She was named the Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter for 1st Quarter 2018.

Nebraska's Caring Kind Award Program

Hospitals across the state select a Caring Kind Award winner from within their respective institutions to be honored at the Nebraska Hospital Association's annual conference. The 2018 Caring Kind luncheon honors those award winners as Nebraska hospitals' most caring individuals.

Methodist Hospital's Caring Kind Employee of the Year is chosen by the committee members who select Methodist Hospital's Employees of the Month. The Caring Kind employee is selected from a pool of the past year's Employee of the Month winners. 

Methodist Women's Hospital's Caring Kind Employee of the Year is chosen by the committee members who select Methodist Women's Hospital's Employees of the Quarter. The Caring Kind employee is selected from a pool of the past year's Employee of the Quarter winners.
