Methodist Teams Up With WOWT, Others for Annual Stuff the Bus Event
Published: Dec. 3, 2021Methodist Health System was proud to partner with WOWT, the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry, Two Men and a Truck, and NP Dodge for the annual Stuff the Bus food and toy drive Thursday.
Volunteers collected nonperishable food items, toys, toiletries and cash donations throughout the day at two locations – Methodist Women's Hospital and the NP Dodge building at 87th Street and West Dodge Road.
St. Vincent de Paul volunteer John Crowe said this is one the busiest times of the year for the food pantry.
“St. Vincent de Paul, we have chapters that do food drives locally. But we depend on these two; these two are the biggest we depend on," he said. “Serving 300 families a day when we’re open, that goes pretty quick so it’s really crucial we get the benefit of these pantries.”
