December Is Methodist Blood Donor Month; Sign Up To Give

Maintaining life-giving supplies of blood is critical for our hospital, region and nation. That's why Methodist employees are encouraged to participate in a monthlong blood drive sponsored by the Nebraska Community Blood Bank.

Throughout December, Methodist employees can give blood at the Nebraska Community Blood Bank Donor Center at 12100 Pacific St. in Omaha. Appointments are recommended, and they can be made by visiting ncbb.org/omaha or calling (402) 486-9414. Donors are also eligible to win a year's worth of cookies (more details here).

No fasting is needed to donate. Plan to allow approximately one hour for the donation process.

You are especially encouraged to call if:

• Your iron count may be low
