Best Care EAP's Exciting New Services Can Help You Thrive

Methodist is proud to offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package to employees, including an array of mental health benefits.

We’re excited to announce that in 2024, our mental health benefits through the Best Care Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will be further enhanced with valuable new options aimed at increasing access to counseling, offering assistance with work/life challenges and more. 

These additions are in part the result of your feedback in the employee Total Rewards survey in May. The more than 3,300 survey responses gave us crucial insight into our current compensation and benefits programs. Offering enhanced Best Care EAP services is among the steps we’re taking to provide a competitive compensation package.

Highlights of Best Care EAP’s Services

Best Care EAP offers a full suite of mental health and well-being support for you and your benefit-eligible dependents.

You have access to these services at no cost and can choose how, what, when and where you’d like to use them. EAP services and resources in 2024 include:

Five Free Short-Term Counseling Sessions

Best Care EAP will continue to provide short-term, confidential counseling with a licensed counselor for any kind of personal or workplace issue, including:

• Stress
• Marriage and relationships
• Family dynamics
• Work/life balance
• Addiction and recovery
• Grief and loss

Sessions are available during the day, evening and weekend, and they’re conducted in person or via telehealth. You may schedule sessions by completing the counseling registration form found on the Best Care EAP website at www.bestcareeap.org/forms.

Talkspace Virtual Therapy

Talkspace Virtual Therapy is another short-term counseling option. This option is ideal for people comfortable with self-scheduling and communicating virtually or by text. Beginning in 2024, you can access this service through the Best Care EAP member portal or directly at www.talkspace.com/bestcareeap, or by downloading the Talkspace app. You will need the company code found here to access services through Best Care EAP.

My Life Expert

My Life Expert is a self-help web portal offering thousands of articles, videos, webinars and interactive activities; soft skills courses; and more. Beginning in 2024, you can create an account to access this site at www.BestCareEAP.mylifeexpert.com or through the Best Care EAP member portal using the company code found here.

Work/Life Referral

Best Care EAP has work/life resources to provide consultation and guidance with life hurdles such as adoption guidance, pet care, housing and utility programs, and education and college resources. Contact Best Care EAP to access this service beginning in 2024.

Legal/Financial

Beginning in 2024, this service will include a free initial consultation plus 25% off ongoing assistance. Contact Best Care EAP to access this service. You can also access forms and information such as sample wills and leases from your Best Care EAP member portal. Use the information found here to log in.

Your use of Best Care EAP counseling is confidential and protected under HIPAA. Counselors are licensed in the state where the member resides. In addition, crisis and emergency services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
