Mission Statement
Methodist Emerging Professionals (MEP) will work to further the mission and values of the Methodist Health System, represent the interests of emerging professionals, provide employees with professional development and engagement opportunities, and support the system’s overall diversity and inclusion strategy.
Vision Statement
MEP will accelerate the growth of Methodist Health System, growing leaders through professional engagement, development, involvement and connection.
MEP Expectations
At this stage, we simply ask that you participate, either actively or passively, in the things that interest you. For example, if you’re not able to attend an event live, watch the recording when you get a chance. In either case, share feedback! We ask that you commit to not only your own growth but also the growth of others and the success of the group.

Community
Key focus: collaboration, outreach, partnership
Goals:
- Connect employees to peers, resources and community leaders via networking and service to others.
- Create time for members to connect with others across our organization or in our community, and create inclusive spaces for people to grow and have a bit of fun along the way.
Advocacy
Key focus: support, action, retention of talent
Goals:
- Prioritize membership and connecting our members to our system’s strategic plans and mission.
- Create an internal network of professionals, and allow opportunities to develop relationships across the organization.
Resources
Key focus: development, retention, recruitment
Goal:
- Offer social events and other programming to help engage our members through the power of connection.
Education
Key focus: feedback, awareness, guidance
Goals:
- Host learning events that focus on the fundamentals of leadership.
- Aim to select educational topics that hone in on skills and ideas inclusive of our membership interests.
