COVID-19 Antigen Testing at MWH
Published October, 2021
Methodist Women’s Hospital has adopted the practice of performing COVID-19 Antigen testing for our asymptomatic and non-vaccinated birthing population, in efforts to identify and protect the birthing person and baby dyad. This is an automatic process through Cerner that orders the antigen test and then is collected by nursing. If the antigen test comes back positive an automated process will fire for a COVID-19 PCR test to be collected. For the most updated COVID-19 education, policy and procedures please go to the Coronavirus Homepage found on the MHS intranet. If you have any questions please reach out to Dr. Tifany Somer-Shely or Dr. Emily Patel.
