Monoclonal Antibody Infusions

Methodist Health System is offering Monoclonal Antibody Infusions for COVID-19. These infusions are reserved for treatment of patient’s ≥18 years old with a positive SARS-CoV-2 direct viral test who are at high risk for progression to severe disease or hospitalization:

  • ≥65 years of age
  • Body mass index (BMI) ≥25
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Diabetes
  • Immunosuppressive disease or receiving immunosuppressive treatment
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Hypertension
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease/other chronic respiratory disease
  • Pregnancy
  • Sickle cell disease
  • Neurodevelopment disease (i.e. cerebral palsy, genetic/metabolic syndrome, severe congenital anomalies)
  • Tracheostomy or gastrostomy not related to COVID-19
  • Positive pressure ventilation not related to COVID-19
